Visiting other libraries

(This service is only for members of Nagoya university.)

Visiting

If a book or journal you want is not available in Nagoya University (your campus), you can visit libraries of other universities.

  • ・ Before visiting, please check OPAC or catalogs of each library.
  • ・ Please observe the rules of the libraries.
  • ・ Some libraries may require an appointment in advance or/and a letter of introduction to use their library resources.
  • ・ Library guides are available on the internet.

Letter of introduction

Some libraries may require an appointment in advance or/and a letter of introduction to use their library resources.

  • ・ A letter of introduction is issued at the Interlibrary Loan Desk(Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.).
  • ・ If you are affiliated with the School of Medicine, please ask at Medical Library or Library of Health Science.

It may take 1-2 weeks to issue a letter. In many cases, some special procedures or documents are required for using rare books or special collections. Please apply at least one week before the date of visit.
