Guidance for ProQuest Database [in English] (7/2)

~Developing Questions from Global Headlines on Expo: Connecting Nagoya and World Economy with ProQuest~

ProQuest is one of the world’s largest full-text databases of academic information, covering papers, books, reports, newspaper articles, and video materials.
This time, we will explore the connection between Nagoya and the global economy by comparing coverage of the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, the 2005 Aichi Expo (Expo 2005), and articles from the international economic newspaper Financial Times. The workshop aims to help participants learn how to gather information using global newspaper articles and develop the ability to generate research questions from them.
Led by an external expert, the session will offer practical guidance on how to search newspapers effectively using ProQuest, along with tips and useful features of the platform. The content is designed to benefit a wide range of participants, from undergraduate and graduate students to faculty and staff.
