Shared Print Toolkit is a website created by the Shared Print Partnership, a federation of shared print programs in the United States and Canada, with the aim of sharing knowledge gained from shared print (the collaborative management of printed materials by multiple institutions and consortia) initiatives . The Collection Development Project Team of the Tokai National Higher Education and Research System (Gifu University Library and Nagoya University Library) has been continuously examining the feasibility of shared print in Japan. To support this examination and to introduce shared print initiatives to Japan, we have worked on creating a Japanese translation of the website.

An important mission of university libraries is not only to provide scholarly materials that serve as the foundation for university education and research, but also to ensure their preservation and transmission for future generations. Gifu University Library and Nagoya University Library will continue to consider shared print initiatives to support their mission.
