"Study Sessions for Academic Writing" Registration Now Open (Starts November 19)

Please note: These sessions will be conducted in Japanese.

① Academic Presentation Study Sessions
Recommended for those preparing for an academic presentation in English, those interested in giving one. Learn how to prepare for an academic presentation and practice commonly used English expressions.

  • Date & Time: Thursday, November 19, 4:30–5:30 PM
  • Venue: Seminar Room A (Central Library 2F)

② Apps & AI Study Sessions
Discover new ways to approach learning and research by exploring how Nagoya University students use apps and tools and exchanging ideas with other participants. In the AI session, learn about different perspectives on generative AI and how it is used, and consider your own approach to AI, including whether or not to use it.

③ Paragraph Writing Study Sessions
Learn paragraph writing, a technique for organizing reports and academic papers into clear, logical text. Through hands-on practice, develop the skills to write clearly and communicate your ideas effectively to readers.

  • Date & Time: Friday, December 4, 4:00–5:00 PM
  • Venue: Discovery Square (Central Library 2F)

④ Reading Study Sessions
Learn how to use inspectional reading, a reading technique for quickly grasping the main ideas of books, academic papers, and other materials. Once you master this technique, you can save time and more easily determine whether a text contains the information you are looking for.
