Facilities

The Central Library provides various facilities to support learning, research, and education for the entire university.

*Applicants can only apply to NU members.

1. Application / Usage hours

If you want to use a facility that requires a use application, please contact the lending/return counter.

(Advance registration is required to use seminar rooms, satellite labs, and Discovery Square (including non-members))

2. Use a PC

The PCs in the library can be used at any time except during the hours when it is used in classes. Please use for report/presentation creation, information search, e-mail, etc.
* You need your Nagoya University ID and password to log in to the PC.

3. Use facilities for classes, seminars, etc.

You can use rooms with PCs for classes. Please use it for seminars and presentation practice. When making a reservation, please apply at the lending/returning counter. You can also contact us by e-mail（）for exclusive use throughout the semester in regular lessons.

4. Study in a group / Study in a private room

You can use a private research room by yourself. Keys for the private research room will be rented using the key lending device (student/staff ID required).

For group study, please use Learning Commons on the 2nd floor and NEOREX Pods on the 3rd floor.

To use Learning Commons on the 2nd floor (Discovery Square) and NEOREX Pods on the 3rd floor and Work Pod on the 2nd floor, please apply at the lending/returning counter.

5. Use audiovisual materials and language teaching materials

You can use the AV booth to watch videos, CDs, DVDs, etc. in the library.

When watching a CD/DVD, please go to the lending/returning counter in advance.

6. Use Library MakerSpace

In the Library MakerSpace, THERS members can use a variety of ICT equipment to make things.

You need to achieve a passing score on the following training provided on TACT this year.
・ General safety education (normal time)
・ General safety education (emergency response)
・ Experimental general safety education
After that please attend the pre-training held at the Library MakerSpace and make a reservation to use it.
