Using the Central Library After Graduation or Program Completion (For AY2026 Autumn Graduates and Program Completers)
Congratulations on your graduation or the completion of your degree program.
The Nagoya University Central Library offers the following services for graduates and program completers.
Library Card for Graduates
The Central Library issues a Central Library Card for Graduates, which can be used for entry to the Central Library and for borrowing library materials.

Notes
- Applications may be submitted after you have received your diploma, degree certificate, or certificate of withdrawal upon completion of the required period of study.
- Library cards will be issued from October 1, 2026 onward.
- Those who continue to be affiliated with Nagoya University or who have unreturned materials borrowed from any Nagoya University library are not eligible for issuance.
Library Initiatives and Request for Support
The Nagoya University Library is committed to enhancing learning environments and improving services in order to support the studies of future students and younger generations.
As part of these efforts, we offer several initiatives in which graduates and program completers are also welcome to participate.
You can support the Library even through items you no longer need.
We would greatly appreciate your support if you agree with the goals of these initiatives.
Book Collection Box for the Book reuse market
Books donated through the collection box located in the entrance hall of the Central Library will be sold at the Book reuse market held during Nagoya University Homecoming Day.
The proceeds are used to purchase library materials for students, including books selected through student book selection projects.
Meidai Support Eco Gift
This project allows you to support Nagoya University by donating items that you no longer use.
When books, CDs, or DVDs are donated through this program, the proceeds are used to support activities of the Nagoya University Library.

Nagoya University Library Support Program (Designated Fund)
This donation program allows you to directly support the activities of the Nagoya University Library.
As a token of our appreciation, donors receive special gifts according to the amount of their contribution.
Example: Donors contributing
¥15,000 or more, including cumulative donations, will receive a plush toy of
"May-dai," the official mascot character of the Nagoya University Library.
